For starters, you learned that if you wanted to make friends, you had to be a friend.

In your Ardyss business, that translates into you having to view your prospects, customers, business partners, and any other business contact as friends.

Treating people with respect ensures that you get treated with respect, in return. Being a friend to others is an integral part of successfully building your Ardyss business!

To acquire friends, you must first show yourself to be friendly. And in business, the fundamentals of that truth rightfully apply.

Because people are the lifeblood of any business, this is the most important lesson to get right in building your Ardyss business to the highest heights.

In Kindergarten, you also learned that you have to share.

There were times you were expected to share your crayons, construction paper, toys and a number of other things.

You have probably found that sharing in Ardyss International is just as important as it was when you were in Kindergarten.

Another helpful lesson you learned in Kindergarten was the importance of taking a recess.

In business, it is imperative to get away and let your mind rest from “business”…even one as phenomenal as Ardyss International!

If you think back to Kindergarten and remember when it was time to go outside and play, you left all thoughts of “learning” inside!

All you wanted to do was dash to the swing set, careen down the slide, or make yourself happily dizzy by twirling on the merry-go-round!

Remember those days of old, and learn to take a break from your work. It doesn’t have to be long. Just think back to Kindergarten and remember how energized and refreshed half an hour on the playground made you feel!

Giving your mind a chance to rest will give you more creative energy when you return!

If Kindergarten was all work and no play, it wouldn’t have been as fun as it was!

In our Ardyss business,we have been asked by several people where is the best place they can find targeted prospects for their Ardyss products and Ardyss business.

You see, the answer to that question all depends on who you ask, and when you ask us this is exactly what we will tell you.

Those who apply the Old School of thought for finding targeted prospects will tell you that before you even begin to try to work your “cold market” (people you have no personal relationship with), you should “make a list” of friends and family and contact them, first.

The problem with this is most people cringe when they hear that answer because more often times than not, if you are a true network marketer, you have done more than one business before you enrolled as an Ardyss Independent Distributor.

By the time you found out that Ardyss International was the home-based business that was a good “fit” for you, you’ve “pitched” your friends and family on so many products, services and business opportunities, that by the time they see you coming, THEY pitch a fit!

Then, the Old Schoolers will tell you that you should apply the “3 Foot Rule”.

This is where you tell someone who comes within three feet of you about your Ardyss business.

Immediately, two problems with this method come to mind.

First, most people would rather wrestle with an anaconda than approach someone they don’t know about a business opportunity…even one as dynamic as Ardyss!

And two, most people who get over there initial fear and decide to give this supposed business-building technique a try usually do it all wrong.

They approach any and everybody about their opportunity instead of being selective and keeping an eye out for sharp-looking individuals who might show an interest in their Ardyss business.

After people in the grocery store, dry cleaners or line at the movie theater literally running away from them like they are psychopaths, it usually destroys that person’s will to put themselves in a position to be rejected ever again!

Lastly, the Old School guru may tell you to try buying some leads and cold-calling them to try to build your Ardyss business.

Again, there are two obstacles that have to be overcome with this process of marketing. 

One, fear is a major factor yet again. 

For a novice Ardyss Independent Distributor, even making that very first phone call, the phone may seem to weigh a ton when calling someone they don’t know about their Ardyss business. 

Even if that isn’t an issue that needs to be overcome, buying business leads can be expensive.

Some “targeted” business leads can be as much as five dollars each, or more!

Please understand Old School marketing does work.

As a network marketer and Ardyss Independent Distributor, you will be taught all kinds of ways to build your business.

A number of these techniques are tremendous in assisting you with growing your Ardyss business and reaching your goals.

However, the one, in particular, Ardyss Independent Distributors love to hate is the “3 Foot Rule”.

“What is the 3 Foot Rule?”, you ask.

The 3 Foot Rule simply means that you speak to people who come within three feet of you about your Ardyss International business opportunity.

If you follow this rule, you may find yourself striking up conversations with people in line at the theater, your local grocer, the dry cleaners, your banking institution, at your children’s school functions and sporting events, and pretty much anywhere else there is a living, breathing human being within three feet of you!

The reason so many Ardyss Independent Distributors are annoyed with the 3 Foot Rule is because they do not know how to properly utilize this “secret weapon” in their arsenal of business-building artillery.

Let me explain.

I don’t know about you, but when I go to the grocery store, I’m going to pick up something my household needs, not business.

I just have to believe that’s the same reason other people are there, as well.

The proof is there is always a LINE of people with  a cart full of items at the checkout!

The way I properly use the 3 Foot Rule in any of the instances listed above is not to talk to just ANY person about my Ardyss business, but my aim is to speak to the RIGHT person.

It’s called Targeted Prospecting. It will always be better than just randomly speaking to someone you are not acquainted with when following the 3 Foot Rule.

The key is to find people who look sharp and may be interested in Ardyss International as a business opportunity.

It may seem unnerving at the beginning because most people are not prone to starting conversations with strangers. But, if you keep at the forefront of your mind that you can’t say the wrong thing to the right person, you’ll be just fine.

If you approach everyone you come across and wear a big flashy button that says, “Ask me about my business,” you will turn more people off than you will turn on about Ardyss.

Sure, those types of “trinkets” have their place, but for me, that’s usually a clue for me to steer clear of that person because my experience has been that I’m in for a long, drawn out business “pitch” if I give that person enough time to approach me about their opportunity!

No offense. It’s human nature. No one likes to be bothered.

The important thing to remember is you are simply dangling “bait” when you utilize the 3 Foot Rule with others. The key is to feel people out to see if they have an interest.

NEVER go into a full-fledge Ardyss business presentation when you are applying the 3 Foot Rule.

Pique their interest, first. Then, get their name, phone number and email address, so you can set up a time that is more convenient to properly present your Ardyss business opportunity to them.

Trust me, the grocery store checkout line is NOT the place to do a business presentation!

Be respectful of other people’s time. They will appreciate you for it.

You don’t have to hate the 3 Foot Rule as an Ardyss Independent Distributor. 

The 3 Foot Rule has worked since networking came on the scene, and it will continue to work.

Do your best to target the right prospects, and you will see your success ratio soar.

As humans, our relationship with electricity is nearly impossible to disconnect from our lives.

Electricity in the life of every day, civilized people exists even when all the lights are off! For example, lightning in the sky or a static spark from friction.

This unseen force even powers the human nervous system, regulating all bodily functions like breathing and every precious heartbeat.

There are three key components to understanding how electricity works. They are voltage, amps and resistance.

In order for electricity to flow in a current, there must be some sort of force or pressure pushing the electrons along. This force in the world of electricity is known as voltage.

But, in the world of Ardyss International, this “pressure” is known as your passion to become successful.

When you are building your Ardyss business, if you neglect passion for success, you will be like a light fixture without light bulbs, having all the right equipment but void of that which makes you “shine” and draw others to you!

In business, the “voltage” of passion is everything.

Because we predominantly market our Ardyss business through the internet, we get contacted by people from around the world about the Ardyss products and Ardyss business opportunity.

Often times, some of the people who contact us have spoken to other Ardyss independent distributors before they found our website.

Therefore, we have heard our fair share of stories about why they chose to buy an Ardyss product from us or join our Ardyss Experts Team instead of the previous distributor(s) they spoke to before reaching out to us.

The common mistake most of these other Ardyss independent distributors made was neglecting to just be honest at times and say three simple words: I don’t know.

Instead, they put on a show of “smoke and mirrors” trying to tickle the prospect’s ears with the hope their song and dance will be enough to sell that Ardyss product or enroll a new Ardyss independent distributor to their team.

What they fail to realize is people are smarter than they think (go figure) and detest having their intelligence insulted.

That may mean not “closing the sale” or getting a new distributor at that exact moment.

But something more important has taken place: you gained that person’s trust and respect.

So, when you do get the answers they are seeking, they will happily buy from you or join your Ardyss team, most times, without you ever having to ask them to do so!

The bottom line is: There is no crime in saying, “I don’t know.” Just follow those three simple words with, “I can find out and get back to you.”, and you will get a sale or new team member if the person is genuinely serious about placing an order or starting an Ardyss business.
