How many times have we heard or been told this age-old statement?: You need to be realistic. It has been instilled and drilled into our minds by our parents and others who are given authority in our lives from the times of early youth and even well throughout our adulthood.
By the time we reach age 18 or 19, if we aren’t careful, that mindset could be irreversibly seared into our brain. Being realistic is important, but it can also be an extreme hindrance to some reaching for their dreams. Why? Because sometimes the goals and dreams we set for ourselves seem unrealistic for the simple reason that we have never accomplished them, or it has never been accomplished before in history!
Where would we be if Alexander Graham Bell had been realistic and thought that it was silly to want to talk to someone by listening and speaking through a device that could be held in someone’s hand? Had he not risked being unrealistic, the telephone may never have come to be!
What if the Wright Brothers had been realistic and believed man was born to only venture by land or sea? We may never have the privilege of flying in airplanes!
The list could go on and on about those who were unrealistic only to find that what everyone may have viewed as unrealistic when they got started quickly became realistic once they accomplished their dream!
The vast majority of us would now consider it unrealistic to be without a telephone (How many of us have been mortified to realize we left our cell phone at home…and have turned around just to go back to get it?!), or to not have the ability to fly when we so desired. (Can you imagine the time it’d take to travel internationally without a plane?)
The world needs people who are courageous enough to go against the grain and have unrealistic goals.
As that pertains to having an Ardyss International business, it used to be thought that no one would be able to make a six-figure a year income from home, but someone did it and erased all doubt!
It’s like when Rick Bannister broke the 4-minute mile barrier in track and field. Before he shattered that belief, it was believed that a human’s heart would explode if they attempted that feat. A 4-minute mile just couldn’t be done by a human being.

What’s humorous about all of this is the only thing that held them back after all this time was the mindset that “It couldn’t be done.”

Most Ardyss International entrepreneurs are always searching for a way to improve their Ardyss business and take it to the next level. If you want to accomplish this objective, you really do not need to look any further for the answer than in the mirror. Self-improvement is a surefire way to improve your Ardyss business dramatically.
The best definition of improvement that I found read: a change for the better; progress in development. The very definition seems to add life to the atmosphere just upon reading it.
Who doesn’t want to change for the better? Everyone does, but where most people stumble and fall is in the “changing” process. Change is almost always uncomfortable, but you know what? It’s almost always worth it!
Improving oneself does not mean that you have something wrong with you or what you’re currently doing is not a right course of action for your Ardyss International business. The second half of that definition said improvement is progress in development! That means it’s perpetual.
Please understand that things are never stagnant. You are either increasing or you are decreasing, but you are never staying the same. If that holds true, you should be moving forward and improving yourself so that every other area of your life benefits from the growth you experience, including your Ardyss business.
What are some ways that you can improve the most important person in the world – YOU? That just depends on the areas of your life that can be deemed as weaknesses. Be real with yourself. Give yourself time. Improve one area at a time. Do not make the mistake of attempting to improve five different areas of your life at once. That would be overwhelming for almost anyone. Pick one, and when you master the one, that’s when you move on to the next.
In its simplest form, all self-improvement is, is a conscious DECISION to make BETTER DECISIONS until they become habits. Think about it. Anything you repeatedly do, doesn’t it become a habit?
If you made the decision to repeatedly practice confidence, confidence would be the norm in your life.
If you made the decision to repeatedly stop practicing procrastination, procrastination would become a thing of the past.
The good news is you can fill in the blank with whatever you need to improve on in your life, and if you made the conscious decision to practice that one thing until it became a habit, the very area you are weak in would almost become as natural to you as breathing!
