How many times have we heard or been told this age-old statement?: You need to be realistic. It has been instilled and drilled into our minds by our parents and others who are given authority in our lives from the times of early youth and even well throughout our adulthood.

When you were a little kid, the world seemed like a more inviting place, didn’t it? I mean, as kids, your dad was the strongest man on earth. And on and on it goes…until our sweet dreams go from the forefront of our minds to the lonely and lost land of being put on the “back burner” where after a period of time, they’re forgotten.

Maybe that hurt. Maybe some of this hit closer to home than you would’ve liked for it to, but the truth is the truth. Sometimes, we need to hear things that shock us back into reality, so we’ll take a deep and honest look at our lives and make a change.

Surely none of this is meant to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I do hope it will make you think back to those days when you were invincible as a kid, and you truly believed you could do and be anything you desired.

Because the truth of the matter is YOU CAN!

It is time to stop compromising your future and apply your heart to wisdom. It is worth repeating because it is true: You can do and be anything you desire.

And one last time, so you can understand I mean what I am saying: You can do and be anything that you desire.

The reason so many have stopped dreaming is because they realize that their current financial status only allows for survival, most of the time, and nothing extra. When you work for an employer, it is easy to get a paycheck. Many an employee knows exactly what it means to “ride the clock”. If you aren’t familiar with that term, it simply means that you show up to work, do enough to get by (if that much), and at the end of the week, you still collect a paycheck.

This sounds like a sweet deal, doesn’t it? Getting paid just for showing up? Man, could it get any better? The truth is stealing time from your employer is never right, but that is the way some people have been making their living for years and years. It only matters how YOU see yourself.

My husband has a saying that I believe is fitting for this post. He says, “I got out of the mind reading business because I wasn’t making any money.”

No, he has never practiced fortune-telling. He’s never had a crystal ball or anything like that. However, there is a ton of validity and a depth of wisdom in that statement that I believe will help you in your Ardyss International business.

In essence, what he was saying was trying to read people’s mind and figure out what they were thinking or trying to pre-determine what they were going to do was an impossible practice. Attempting to do that was frustrating him to no end, so he made the decision to stop because it was getting him no where.

Most people have a propensity to look at others and see the vast amount of potential in them. And in some ways, that is a good thing. For example, seeing the potential in someone may keep you from completely writing off a teen who is acting rebelliously as a waste of your time.

But the reverse side of that is, in your Ardyss International business, it can also be very frustrating because when the object of potential doesn’t live up to your expectations, you can feel let down and hurt.
