The second thing that is hard for some people to wrap their mind around about network marketing is that you are paid based on your sales and the sales of your team. So if you and your team are not working you will not make any money. Unlike a job where you can show up, do very little and still get paid.

Another reason, many people get confused about this industry is the large number of people who fail. Most people who start a network marketing business fail and never make much money if any at all.

This topic could be another article within itself, but people quit things and fail in all areas of life everyday.

That does not make the industry a scam. It just means a lot of people come into the industry looking for a lottery ticket to fix their life. When they realize you have to work to build a home-based business, like Ardyss, then all of a sudden it becomes a scam, they quit and blame everyone else for the lack of success or effort.

I guess if you used this logic, then Real Estate, Car Sales, your local Subway, Mcdonalds and tons of other businesses are all scams.
