One of the absolute best things about working your Ardyss business from home is that you can work when you want to work. You aren’t bound by a boss or regular business hours. If you want to take the day off to go with your son or daughter on a field trip you can do that or if you want to take a long lunch and just relax for a while you can do that too.

Keep in mind that when I say business hours I don’t mean that they have to be 9-5 Monday through Friday. They can be from 7 at night until 11 at night or 6 in the morning until your kids get out of school at 3. Whatever and whenever they are doesn’t really matter. It just matters that you have them and you stick to them.

See a lot of people Ardyss reps who work from home tend to think they’re working a lot harder than they actually are. That’s because they might be doing 5 minutes here or 20 minutes there and because they’re working through the whole day they feel like they’ve gotten a lot done when actually they’ve barely worked at all.

If you live with other people like a spouse, kids or a roommate you’ll want to make sure that they all know that during your specific work hours you need to be left to do your work. That doesn’t mean that you have to shut yourself off from the world for hours and hours a day. You can still pick your kids up from school and hang out with them, but when it’s time to work it’s time to work!

When you know you’re getting plenty of work time in you can relax knowing that all your hard work and effort will soon pay off. Bottom line, work your Ardyss business when you need to work and relax when you need to relax, it’s all about balance and boundaries.

You might think that because you work your Ardyss business from home you don’t have to worry about what you wear. However, dressing for success is just as important when working your Ardyss business from home as it is when you world in the corporate world.

Confidence is everything in your Ardyss business. I didn’t say cockiness or arrogance but feeling good about yourself and how you look and feel is extremely important in gaining people’s trust. Thing about if you were being presented the same business by two different people.

Once by someone who seemed very knowledgeable but who was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and flip flops and then by someone else who was dressed in a suit and perfectly shined shoes who would you rather be in business with? I am sure this will be a no brainer. You’re always going to trust and want to be in business with sharp looking people who carry themselves with confidence.

Now I’m not saying that you have to run out to the store and buy a bunch of new clothes or spend your money on things you can’t afford for your Ardyss business. However, taking the time to make sure you look nice and polished before you step out the door will help your Ardyss business big time.

You don’t have to be going to meet a prospect or to a business meeting either. You can meet people in the grocery store, at the park or at a PTA meeting who would be perfect for your Ardyss business and when you look nice you’ll have the extra confidence to walk up to them and tell them the Ardyss business opportunity.

Also, if you’re just staying at home and calling prospects over the phone you might be surprised to know that when you dress with confidence that confidence will come through over the phone. Again, obviously you don’t have to put on a suit and tie just to call prospects, after all that is the beauty of working from home. However, getting out of your robe or pajamas is critical if you want to feel and sound great over the phone.

Use these tips to build a successful Ardyss business with more confidence. You don’t have to pretend to be someone you’re not. Just be the best version of yourself every day and your Ardyss business will be all the better for it. It’s always important to dress for success in your Ardyss business.

When hosting an Ardyss showcase, the most important thing to remember is that Ardyss is a business, and the host should be professional at all times. Even though for the most part, the people that are invited will be relatives and friends of the host, it is still imperative to present Ardyss to them in a way that speaks of professionalism.

What does that look like? First, the host should feel free to offer snacks and beverages to their guests. They don’t have to provide a full-fledged meal. The guests are there to see the host’s new business, not for a buffet. Light refreshments such as cookies and bottled water will be appreciated by all.

The host of the Ardyss showcase should have the products that came in their Power Pack set up for display at least half an hour before their showcase is set to start. Also, they need to make sure they have some applications ready for those who want to join their business available at the end of the presentation. It is a good idea to make a list of the other items needed for a successful showcase like measuring tape, pens, price sheets, and things of that nature before the host goes to their showcase to ensure they have everything they need.

There should be adequate lighting. Nothing’s worse than walking into a dark room and trying to focus on what’s being presented and being unable to see!

The Ardyss showcase host should make sure their venue, whether it is their home, a friend’s home or a hotel conference room is a comfortable temperature. As a consummate host, you don’t want it to be too cold or too hot. It tends to takes the guests’ focus off of what is being presented. If someone says they are cold or hot, believe them, and adjust the thermostat.

Also, make sure there are no TVs on when guests start to arrive. It is perfectly fine to have music playing as long as it is something that is considered “soft listening.” A smooth jazz CD is always a good alternative. Just remember to turn off the music when the presenter gets up to speak.

The Ardyss showcase host should be comfortably dressed. They don’t have to dress to the “nines,” but they shouldn’t have on sweat pants, house shoes and a t-shirt, either. It’s fine to wear jeans as long as a nice shirt is worn with them. The host always wants to look presentable. That’s the idea.

Hosts, if you have small children, please do try to find a sitter for them. Small children, as much of a blessing as they are, can be a distraction for your guests. As a host, you want your guests to be able to focus on the information being offered.

And, as much as a host may love their pets, if animals are in your home, not everyone will be as comfortable as you are around your pets. So, please be courteous and put them outside or in a room where they can’t interact with the guests. Just assume that someone is going to be “afraid” of your pet and go ahead and make sure they are maintained until everyone leaves.

This is critical. Please, please be respectful of people’s time. Start on time. Encourage your Ardyss showcase guests to get there a few minutes before the event starts. It’s not fair for those who arrived on time to have to sit another half an hour while the “straggler” makes their way in. If you give anyone a “window” to arrive late, make sure it’s no more than about 7-10 minutes. After that, catch them up after the Ardyss showcase. Go ahead and start for those who were on time. It’s the right thing to do, and those people will appreciate the courtesy.

Before the host gets into the Ardyss International presentation, ask everyone to hold their questions until the end. As the host goes through the presentation, remember, if they mess up…the audience doesn’t know! Keep going! Mistakes are made by everyone the first few times they do an Ardyss showcase. It’s how they get good at giving presentations! Practice, indeed, makes perfect!

Remember, the host is in control. It is their showcase. Don’t allow someone to keep interjecting too much because it will throw off the attention of the other guests. Kindly ask them to hold their questions and comments until the end, and at that time, happily address them.

Adhering to a few simple rules and some common sense knowledge, anyone can host a successful Ardyss showcase.

Now I’m not trying to say anything bad about knowledge but the truth of the matter is that sometimes having too much knowledge can be a very bad thing.

You may have heard the term paralysis by analysis and that’s exactly what can happen when you focus more on gathering information than actually acting on that information.

When it comes to Ardyss or any home based business there are a huge number of people who are all about gathering information. “Well once I understand more about the comp plan I’ll really get started”, “Once I do more research on my Ardyss business I’ll get started.”, “I’m just researching things right now… then I’ll really get busy working my business”.

If you’re one of those people, someone who has to have all the facts before they make a move, you’re going to have to change a little bit if you really want to have success in any   home based business and Ardyss is no different.

Like I said before, there is nothing wrong with knowledge at all, as long as you don’t let it cripple you and stop you from making the most out of your Ardyss business.

I’ve met a number of “information gatherers” in my time as a network marketer and very, very few of them have ever made any money in their chosen business and most of them aren’t even in the business anymore.

In the movie “Mean Girls” starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams the main character Cady talks about something called “word vomit” that’s when you start saying things that you really don’t need to be saying but you can’t help it.

So what on earth does that have to do with your Ardyss home based business? Well I believe that when almost all new Ardyss home based business owners are talking to people about their business they have a severe case of “word vomit”.

It’s really not your fault, you actually think you’re doing the right thing. After all if someone wants to know about your Ardyss business you should give them as much information as possible right? Wrong.

When talking to someone about your opportunity less is always, always, always more. This is not to say that you should keep important information a secret or act like you’re ashamed of your Ardyss business.

Does a prospect need to know the type of business you’re in? Yes
Do they need to know what they’ll be doing if they become involved? Yes
Do they need to know how much money they make on their 3rd level? NO!

I know that it’s super easy to get excited about your new Ardyss business but don’t say too much and risk overwhelming a prospect.

Try to answer only the questions that are asked of you in an honest and professional way without giving people too many details that they don’t need.

This is especially true when it comes to marketing online. I can’t tell you how many times I see people advertising their home based business and giving way too many details. Think about the way big fortune 500 companies advertise. They talk about their product, service, store whatever and then stop. They don’t tell you the starting salary for their employees, the directions to get to their nearest location.

It’s just too much information!

Are you starting to see what I’m saying? Less really is more when it comes to your Ardyss home based business! So the next time you’re talking to someone about your business remember to:

- Answer the questions they ask you honestly and then stop

- Don’t get bogged down in the little details

- Don’t assume prospects want to know something wait for them to ask

Let’s face it, starting your own Ardyss home based business isn’t a walk in the park it’s a big commitment and unless you have something to drive you every single day you might not be as successful as you could be.

By setting your goals in stone from the very beginning you will have that extra little push, that motivation to work even when you don’t want to, and to push yourself that much harder because you see the light at the end of the tunnel and it looks GOOD!

 Whether you are new to Ardyss or have been in your business for a while it is extremely important that you know your goals and have them written out for you to look at whenever you need that extra push. Also, having your goals in your head isn’t enough you need to have them written out.

The best way to start with your goals is to look at the short term. That means looking at the next 6-12 months and writing out everything that you want to accomplish in your Ardyss during this time frame.

Some of your short term goals should be monetary and others should be more personal. Things like taking a short trip with your son, or buying your daughter that bike she’s been wanting can sometimes give you more drive than just writing down a dollar amount ever could.

Would you like to quit your job? Write down the exact date on the calendar when you want that to happen and look at it every day. As that date gets closer and closer it will drive you to work harder and be more persistent and that will push your Ardyss business over the top!

After you’ve written out your short term goals you’ll want to write out your long term goals. Make them BIG, make them BOLD and above everything else make them YOU!

We all have things that we want to do with our lives but as life goes on we slowly push them to the back burner and eventually they’re gone all together.

When you’re writing out your long term goals really dig deep, think about the things you want to do but have forgotten about, and write them all down and the date you want to accomplish them. It can be anything from making $100,000 a year to taking a trip around the world to buying your childhood dream car… WHATEVER as long as they are personal and real to you that’s all that matters.

After you have written all of your goals out it is often helpful to give yourself something more visual to look at every day. Look online and find pictures that represent the things that you want and the goals you want to accomplish.

Find a picture of your dream house or take a picture of your family on vacation… whatever motivates you and put those images somewhere were you can see them every day like a refrigerator, by your desk or on your bathroom mirror. The location doesn’t matter as long as it’s a place you will be sure to see it every day.

This might seem silly but trust me it will be the thing that keeps you going and keeps you motivated when nothing else will.

By doing all of these things you will have a clear view of what your goals are in your Ardyss home based business and knowing WHAT you’re doing is nowhere near as important as knowing WHY you’re doing it!

Think of it this way. If you got a new job, a job that could potentially pay you 6 or even 7 figures a year you wouldn’t be ashamed to tell the people you love would you? No way! You would be excited and ready to tell as many people as possible.

Well guess what? When you started your own Ardyss home based business that is exactly what you’ve done. You’ve entered into a business opportunity that could change your life forever, both financially and by giving you the free time to live your life the way you choose! So come right out with it, be excited and be honest. When you are excited and speak with authority other people will get excited for you.

If you make it seem like you’re doing something to be ashamed of people will feed off of your negative energy. Don’t give them that chance.

The final thing to know when you’re talking to your friends and family is that some people no matter how amazing the company is are just plain going to have something negative to say about it. That’s just the way it is.

You can’t let other people’s negativity drag you down and keep you from reaching your dreams. Some people won’t believe you until you show them your success so go out there and prove them wrong!

Talking to your family and friends about your new home based business can be a very hard thing to do. But, by speaking to them directly and honestly and not letting their negative comments get you down you will be well on your way.
